Schools Programme:

With fellow musician James Shenton, I perform a 35-45 minute set for primary schools providing a spell binding and educational Celtic Journey incorporating music and fairy tales from Ireland, Scotland and Galicia, providing an entertaining, enriching and unique opportunity to enhance childrens’ knowledge and awareness of different instruments, of celtic music and culture.

In more detail this comprises of:

* An introduction to Celtic Music

* A brief introduction to different instruments: Bodhran, Tin Whistle, Flute, Fiddle, Mandolin and Uilleann Pipes.

* Tunes from Galicia, Scotland and Ireland

The performance can be linked to many areas of the national curriculum and can be adapted to include, for example a special focus on creative story telling or a more in depth exploration of the music and culture.
